Yesterday, Martine went on the internet and chatted with her friends in Russia on Facebook. She stayed up very late. She went to bed at one o’clock in the morning. She was very tired.
In the morning after sunrise the sun was shining in the sky. Suddenly the alarm went off but Martine was still sleeping. She was really tired and sleepy. She couldn’t wake up because she was still very tired.
The alarm started to ring again and again but she couldn’t wake up. She turned the alarm off with her foot. She went back to sleep and couldn’t open her eyes.
After a few minutes, the alarm tickled her foot. She was very annoyed and finally she woke up. She went to the bathroom and washed her face and combed her hair and brushed her teeth.
After that, she started to walk to school. She carried her school bag. It was a sunny day and the birds were singing.
Martine was very late for school because she slept in. The teacher was angry and asked her why she came too late.
She started to tell lies. She told the teacher that she was sick and got a headache. Her teacher told her he would ring her parents to see why she came to school late.
He rang the parents. Her mother said Martine couldn’t wake up early because she was chatting with her friends on the internet.
The teacher was very angry and he gave her a detention for telling lies.
