School Camp

My son went on a school camp last week. All the children in year six went on a camp for four days. They didn't go alone. Some teachers went with them too. My son and his friends liked the camp very much. They learned so much during the four days and they also had a lot of fun.
My son shared a room with another five boys. They are all close friends.
The students did many activities. They also helped wash the dishes. The teachers supervised them all the time.
My son was not allowed to take his iPod with him. He was not allowed to take his mobile phone. The girls were not allowed to take any jewelry or make up.
The students woke up at seven o'clock in the morning. They went to bed at ten o'clock at night.
Camps give students a chance to deal with their teachers outside the classroom. The teachers get to know their students more. Camps teach students that learning does not take place only inside a classroom.
The school camp was not free. All the parents paid $200 for each child to go on camp.
In Australia very young children in primary schools don't go on camp. They start going on camps when they are in year four. They do this when they are in year five and six. They all have great fun.
