Good afternoon everyone. My name is George Antonio and today I will be talking about the advantages of owning a car. My presentation is divided into two parts. First of all, I will talk about how cars changed the way we live. After that I will talk about the good things about having a car. Please feel free to ask questions at the end of the presentation. Now, let’s get started. 

As you know, life keeps changing. Every now and then, something new comes up. Before cars, people used camels and horses to move from one place to another. They used them to travel everywhere. Now people don't normally use animals to move or carry things. They use cars. People go to work and go shopping by car. A lot of students go to their schools in their parents' cars. Cars became part and parcel of our modern life. 

Now let’s move on to the second part of the presentation. In fact, there are many good things about owning a car. I can give you some examples now. A car gives you freedom. You are free to go anywhere you like. When you first start to drive, you learn new skills. You also don't have to wait to use public transport and waste half your day waiting for a train or a bus to arrive. You can use your car any time of the day or at night. It is easy to plan for your holidays if you have a car. You can choose where to spend your holiday. You can use your car in case of an emergency. You can transfer a sick person to hospital or to see a doctor any time you need to.
