Good afternoon everyone. My name is Di Feng and today I will be talking about the differences between the environment in China and in Australia. My presentation is divided into two parts. First of all, I will talk about some Chinese environment issues. After that I will talk about Australia. Please feel free to ask questions at the end of the presentation. Now, let’s get started.
As you know I originally come from China and I used to live in Beijing which is the capital city. China has a strong and powerful economical system, but the environment has been greatly affected. China has the largest population in the world. People need more oxygen, water, space and other things. In many cities there are lots of factories. They release toxic gases in the air constantly. Therefore, the air quality is poor. China also has bad weather and less fresh air.
Now let’s move on to the second part of the presentation. I will give you some information about Australia. Australia is the sixth largest country in the world but it doesn’t have a big population. You can see clean streets and smell fresh air everywhere. Generally speaking, large factories are usually not found in cities and are placed in suburbs. Most people have good habits and help to protect the environment. They do different things such as garbage recycling and using tanks to store rain water.
It’s nearly time for me to finish the presentation. I would like to thank you for coming here today. Now if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them.
