Taking a Train

Sally is new to Melbourne. She comes from France. She is at a train station and wants to travel to footscray. She wants to go to Footscray by train. She doesn't have a ticket. A stranger is helping her get a ticket and take the right train. The stranger tells her that she needs some coins. Sally has some coins in her bag. She selects a daily, zone-one ticket. She inserts the coins in the ticket machine. After she gets her ticket, she insertss it in another machine to validate it. The stranger tells Sally the train will come in 4 minutes. Sally thanks the stranger.

A: Excuse me. Can you help me, please?

B: Yes, what do you want?

A: I am a stranger here and I need to take a train to Footscray. Can you help me?

B: Yes. You need to buy a train ticket first. Do you have one?

A: No, I don’t. Where can I buy a train ticket?

B: You can buy it from this machine over there.

A: Oh, I see.

B: Do you have coins? You will need to pay $7.80 to get a ticket.

A: Yes, I’ve got some coins.
